As a Procurement Specialist at JS Food Service, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organisation by effectively managing and analysing information and data. Your expertise will guide decisions on policy, business, and organisational methods, ensuring our procurement processes align with our high standards and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential suppliers.
- Liaise with internal teams and maintain robust supplier relationships.
- Evaluate products and suppliers against key business criteria.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolving any issues or concerns.
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and address any deficiencies.
- Analyze industry trends and assist in developing sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and manage inventory effectively.
Requirements and Skills:
- At least 5 years working in a similar role (merchandiser, purchasing specialist etc.)
- Strong understanding of purchasing strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business application software.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Working experience with integrations and working in a multi-culture environment
- Applicants who are fluent in Chinese, Japanese or Korean are also considered merit-based candidates.
