Advanced Trainee Neurology (Statewide) - Apply via ANZAN - CAM30246

Advanced Trainees in Neurology work under the supervision of Specialist Neurologists to assess and manage the neurological system in health and disease, whilst developing expertise in the prevention, diagnosis and management of patients with disorders of the brain (including stroke), spinal cord, nerves and muscles. This also includes supervised interpretation of neurophysiological, neuroradiological and other investigations, and general medical management of patients with neurological disorders.

Selection to Neurology Advanced Training occurs via the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists.

Essential requirements

MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
Completion of at least four postgraduate years of medical practice.
Successful completion of the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and eligible to undertake subspecialty training in Neurology in Australia. Completion of at least four postgraduate years and successful completion of the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent, and be eligible to undertake subspecialty training in Neurology in Australia.
This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency. If the incumbent’s registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.
Valid Working with Children Check, cleared National Police Check.
Aged Care Check for Australian Government funded positions.
To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy, this includes any amendments made from time to time.
