Webbing Textile Operator/ Technician
National Webbing Products Pty Ltd, a leader in the webbing industry, has an opportunity for full-time Webbing Textile Operator/ Technician to join our friendly team in Doveton/Dandenong. We provide the opportunity to learn our manufacturing process and specialist machinery to produce webbing related products, while exceeding customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will:
- Ideally have experience in warping and weaving of webbings or textile materials
- Be punctual, reliable, committed, self-motivated and able to work to a high standard
- Be able to work as part of a team and unsupervised to deadlines
- Be willing to learn
- Be physically fit and able
- Have strong organisational skills
- Forklift license desirable
Previous experience in a similar role or a manufacturing, assembling or factory environment is desirable but not essential. An understanding of OH&S and Quality Assurance processes and procedures is also beneficial.
Key responsibilities:
- Warping, weaving and dyeing webbing
- Operation, monitoring and maintenance of warping, weaving and dyeing machines while keeping efficiency and productivity to high levels
- Measuring, marking and cutting of webbing and other fabric such as canvas and PVC
- Working within the production team to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensuring cleanliness of factory and work areas
- Assisting with pack, finish and dispatch of customer orders and receipt of deliveries
