Rex is looking for energised and reliable individuals to fill the role of Aircraft Support Officer/Baggage Handler, in casual and part-time capacity.
If you’re excited about aviation, then you’ll love getting up close and personal with our aircraft fleet.
You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring that REX aircraft depart and arrive on time to and from their designated destinations and work together to achieve a common goal. You’ll need to be strong and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure in an environment that is always changing â weather, schedules and other parts of the operations that don’t always go to plan.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Adelaide Ramp Manager.
Position responsibilities
- Receipt and Dispatch of aircraft
- Loading and unloading of baggage, cargo and catering
- Assisting special needs customers
- The safe operation of all ground equipment (for example: air-conditioning carts, toilet servicing, ground power unit operation)
- Aircraft cleaning including termination cleans, incident cleans, and toilet servicing
- Sorting of checked passenger baggage and freight
- Assist with Catering when required
Selection Criteria
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and airside drivers licence
- Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings and weekend work
- High standard of physical fitness
- High standard of professionalism
- Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on time performance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
- Previous airline experience is preferred but not essential
Conditions:
Conditions and wages are as per the Regional Express Ground Services Agreement 2025.
