XTour Caravans is growing, and we need a highly capable CAD/CAM Draftsperson who can take ownership of our production drawings and CNC programming so our manufacturing floor runs smoothly, accurately, and on time.

The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing drawings and CNC programs are accurate, efficient, and production-ready.
This isn’t a junior drafting position.
This is a hands-on role that directly impacts production flow.
You will:
- Produce accurate 2D & 3D CAD manufacturing drawings
- Develop CNC cutting files (3-axis flatbed)
- Translate customer specifications into production-ready outputs
- Estimate CNC run times for costing accuracy
- Conduct product trials and optimise cutting efficiencies
- Generate production documentation & work orders
- Liaise directly with the manufacturing floor to eliminate bottlenecks
- Order and coordinate materials per caravan build
Your work will directly affect delivery times and profitability.
Who We’re Looking For
You are:
- Experienced in manufacturing environments (not just design studios)
- Strong with 3-axis flatbed CNC programming
- Confident working autonomously without constant direction
- Detail-obsessed, errors frustrate you
- Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
- Comfortable being accountable for timelines
- A communicator who can work between office and factory floor
Essential Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in CAD/CAM within manufacturing
- Proven CNC programming experience (3-axis flatbed)
- Strong 2D & 3D CAD capability
- Experience producing manufacturing documentation
- Strong Excel skills
- Full Australian working rights
Caravan or RV industry experience is highly regarded.
