What You'll Be Doing
With the guidance and support of qualified technicians, you'll learn how to:
- Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection and safety systems.
- Service portable fire equipment and other life safety systems.
- Work with:
- Fire panels
- Fire alarm systems
- Emergency Warning & Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)
- Emergency and exit lighting
- Fire extinguishers
- Hydrants and hose reels
- Fire doors
- Accurately complete maintenance records, logbooks, and compliance documentation.
- Develop skills in route planning, time management, stock control, and customer service.
- Complete all training modules and assessments required as part of your traineeship.
- Certifcate II in Fire Protection Inspection & Testing
- Attend training sessions delivered through the Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

About You

- Are committed to completing a Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
- Can follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Demonstrate initiative and basic problem-solving skills.
- Enjoy hands-on work and learning new technical skills.
- Take pride in delivering quality work and excellent service.
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a desire to succeed.
