Job Title: FIFO Boilermaker
Location: Western Australia – FIFO from Perth
Employment Type: Full-time / Casual
We are seeking experienced and qualified Boilermakers to join our team for FIFO work across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, and maintain structural steel and metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and fabrication plans.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, gouging, and thermal-heating activities.
- Repair and maintain mining equipment, fixed plant, chutes, bins, tanks, and structural components.
- Conduct inspections and identify defects, cracks, wear, and required repairs.
- Complete work according to Australian Standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
- Follow all site safety procedures, permits, risk assessments, and isolation requirements.
- Participate in pre-start meetings, Take 5s, JHAs, and workplace inspections.
Requirements:
- Australian-recognised Boilermaker or Engineering Fabrication Trade qualification.
- Relevant boilermaking and heavy fabrication experience.
- Experience in mining, fixed-plant maintenance, shutdowns, or construction is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills.
- Valid White Card.
- Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications.
- High-Risk Work Licence and EWP ticket are advantageous.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and site-specific inductions.
- Must have full Australian working rights or meet the requirements for employer-sponsored employment.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in remote FIFO conditions.
The successful applicant must be safety-focused, reliable, able to work independently and within a team, and available to work according to the required FIFO roster.
Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
