Delta Lithium Ltd is an exploration and mining company operating in Western Australia.
Our Yinnetharra Project, located in the remote Gascoyne region of Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Field Technician who can hit the ground running and join our small, close-knit exploration team on a full time basis.
The Field Technician is primarily responsible for undertaking site ground and service activities. They are responsible for aspects of the preparation and execution stages of the workflow.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding field role working outdoors in remote conditions.

Main duties
- Preparation:
- Safe use of forklift for receipt of goods, movement of core and any other equipment, as directed
- Pre disturbance surveys
- Peg holes
- Pad and access preparation with loaders/excavators/backhoe
- Delineate heritage and environmental areas
- Proactive camp maintenance and kitchen/cooking duties
- Execution:
- Attending daily pre shift meeting, Daily Take 5’s, vehicle/equipment prestart, hazard reporting, JHA/JMP where applicable, workplace inspections
- Racking up drill core, metre marking drill core, orientating drill core, photographing drill core, taking SG measurement of core, cutting and sampling drill core and storage of drill core
- Organising RC logging supplies, chipping RC piles where applicable, taking RC samples, photograph RC chip trays, plug drillholes on completion and storage of RC chip trays
- Rehabilitation of disturbance as directed (including but not limited to collar cutting, earthworks, cleanup of drill pads)
- Soil sampling and other fieldwork as directed
- Data entry
- Assisting in the setting up and maintenance of camp and facilities
- Safe usage and maintenance of 4WD vehicles
- Safe use of XRF & LIBS
What we're looking for
- At least three years’ demonstrated field/exploration experience and the ability to step into the role with minimal supervision, including experience with soil sampling, RC and diamond sampling and processing.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work in remote outdoor conditions.
- Previous experience living and working in remote exploration environments.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Positive, flexible and hands-on attitude.
- Current Australian manual driver's licence.
- First Aid, 4WD driving and forklift qualifications are essential.
