Administration Assistant – Mount Isa Recovery Services

The Salvation Army is seeking an Administration Assistant to join our Recovery Services team in Mount Isa. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative, financial and client support to help ensure our services operate efficiently and effectively.
You’ll be part of a supportive team where your attention to detail, professionalism and commitment to helping others will make a genuine difference to participants, staff and the wider community.
About the Role
As the Administration Assistant, you’ll be a key point of contact for participants, staff and stakeholders, providing professional and responsive administrative support across the service.
Key Responsibilities

Provide efficient administrative and clerical support across Recovery Services.

Respond to referrals and client enquiries, ensuring information is received, recorded and managed appropriately.

Maintain accurate SAMIS records, data entry and client documentation.

Provide professional and compassionate support to clients via phone, face-to-face and online enquiries.

Coordinate transport and other support requirements for participants.
-
Support the Service Manager with financial and administrative processes.
-
Process invoices, accounts, bank reconciliations and journal entries accurately and within required timeframes.

Manage client fees and Centrepay administration.

Coordinate purchasing, stationery and general office requirements.

Maintain effective filing, correspondence and record-keeping systems.

Provide roster and administrative support as required.

Assist with general site and office administration to support the smooth operation of the service.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and high-quality service delivery.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
About You
You’ll be an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working with people and supporting a busy service environment.
You’ll bring:

Previous experience in ( 2+ years) administration, reception or office support, preferably within a community or human services environment.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Confidence working with financial administration, invoices and reconciliation processes.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.

Experience with client management systems such as SAMIS is highly regarded.

A professional, respectful and compassionate approach when working with participants and stakeholders.
