About the opportunity
Set along the stunning shores of Port Stephens, The Anchorage Hotel & Spa is a place where relaxed coastal living meets laid-back luxury. Home to award-winning dining at The Galley Kitchen, as well as indulgent treatments at Spa Lucca, it’s a destination that celebrates both excellence and genuine hospitality.
We currently have a Full Time opportunity for a passionate Chef de Partie (Breakfast Chef) to join our talented culinary team at The Galley Kitchen.
To be successful in this role, you must be available to work as a Breakfast Chef across a five-day roster, with shifts typically scheduled between 6:00am and 2:00pm, including weekends and public holidays as required. Flexibility to meet operational needs is essential. The best part? No split shifts – giving you time to enjoy all that beautiful Port Stephens has to offer.
About you
You’re a team player who brings enthusiasm, attention to detail, and pride to everything you do in the kitchen. With previous experience in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting, you’re confident under pressure and love creating dishes that leave a lasting impression.
You’ll bring:
-
Demonstrated experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment
- A collaborative and open-minded approach – always ready to learn and grow
- A commitment to producing high-quality food across a variety of styles
- High standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
- A current Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- A current Cert III in Commercial Cookery is essential for this role.
All candidates progressing to the next stage of recruitment will complete relevant checks, including a criminal history check, reference checks, and right-to-work verification – all facilitated by The Wests Group.
