What You’ll Be Doing
- Build a consistent, respectful support relationship that promotes stability, trust and routine
- Support daily living tasks, personal care, and community access in line with support plans
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to respond safely and calmly to behaviours of concern
- Support individuals with intellectual disability and mental health-related support needs
- Work collaboratively with the broader support team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain clear and timely documentation and communicate changes in presentation or support needs
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting people with mental health conditions, intellectual disability, and/or challenging behaviours
- Has experience providing manual handling and personal care support
- Can remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in challenging situations
- Has strong communication, active listening and documentation skills
- Holds a valid P2 or Open Driver Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Holds a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
