What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in the Paediatric Unit, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, ensuring positive experiences and outcomes for patients and their families.
- Deliver person-centred, family-focused nursing care that meets the individual needs of paediatric patients
- Assess, monitor and respond to changing patient conditions in a busy clinical environment
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support treatment, discharge planning and continuity of care
- Supervise, mentor and support enrolled nurses, assistants in nursing and students during clinical placement
- Advocate for children and families while promoting safe, efficient and culturally respectful healthcare delivery

Essential Criteria:
- Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience in Paediatric Nursing and evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintain competence and enhancement of skills.
2. Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice and its contribution to changing practice and policies within the organisation.
3. Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a Registered Nurse.
4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrated critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
