Process Operators
Highland Pine Products is currently seeking applications to fill several positions for Process Operators, reporting to the Shift Supervisor.
These positions may be used in the Dry Mill, Green Mill or the Kilns/Boiler.
The Operators’ primary role is to ensure that the operation of the mill is adhered to against set specifications, standards, quality and WHS practices and procedures.
To be successful you will:
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine parts
- Able to fault find and diagnose machinery problems
- Demonstrate commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
- Be safety and quality conscious
- Carry out manual handling tasks
- Good hand/eye co-ordination
- Be available for shift work, both weekdays and weekends when required
- Have experience in the timber processing industry and/or similar exposure to continuous production line operations. Although this is not essential, it would be highly regarded
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills with good computer skills.
You will be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to operate collaboratively with your work group and with internal/external stakeholders
