This is a 9 to 12 month maximum term contract opportunity.
As a Senior Analyst – Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting (Regulatory Reporting), you will take the lead on end-to-end APRA submission workflows, RG97 fees and costs disclosures and PHD reporting. You will interpret and apply reporting standards, keep processes current as regulations evolve, and maintain the governance documentation that supports audit reviews and APRA enquiries. This is a hands-on role where analytical rigour, data quality and cross-team coordination matter every quarter.
- Manage quarterly and annual APRA submission workflows, coordinating data from custodian and internal teams to meet every lodgement deadline.
- Lead fees and costs calculations and disclosures for Periodical Member Statements and other publications under RG97 and PHD requirements.
- Conduct quarter-on-quarter variance analysis and present findings to senior stakeholders, including contributing to IC and Board reporting.
- Drive process improvement across the submission workflow, identify data quality issues and support the development of analysts within the team.
About you
You bring hands-on APRA reporting experience in the superannuation industry particularly within investment forms. You have sharp eye for data quality and the confidence to read, interpret and apply regulatory standards independently. You know how custodian data flows work, and you have written procedure documentation that others can follow. You work well across disciplines, whether that means coordinating with Risk and Compliance, engaging an external custodian or explaining a methodology to a non-technical stakeholder. Preferred skills include proficiency with Excel, SQL and Powerbi
- Demonstrated APRA reporting experience, including familiarity with related Prudential Standards and Guides.
- Working knowledge of ASIC RG97 fees and costs disclosure requirements and the PHD regime.
- Experience identifying and remediating data quality issues and performing quarter-on-quarter variance analysis.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, balancing multiple deliverables and meeting tight regulatory deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Competency in excel, power BI, SQL to analyse, transform and manage large amounts of data.
- Undergraduate qualification in finance, commerce, risk management, law or a related discipline.
