About the Role
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and ensuring every dish meets our standards of excellence. You'll work alongside a supportive team to create innovative, delicious dishes while contributing to smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the menu and customer preferences
- Ensure food is consistently presented to a high standard
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to deliver an outstanding dining experience
- Monitor stock levels and order inventory, ensuring efficient use of ingredients
- Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail and presentation
- Demonstrated experience preparing wok-based dishes and Asian-style cuisine, as well as classic Australian cuisine
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for food and creativity in the kitchen
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Commercial Cookery
