JCICARE Support Services is a registered NDIS provider delivering disability support services across South East Queensland. We provide person-centred supports including supported independent living, community access, daily living support, and support for participants with complex needs.
As our organisation continues to grow, we are seeking a capable, proactive, and detail-oriented Accounts and Administration Officer to join our friendly and professional team based at our Chermside office.
This role plays an important part in keeping the business running smoothly day to day and is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, values structure, and takes pride in producing accurate work.
About the Role
This is a key position within JCICARE Support Services, combining office administration, accounts support and general operational support.
You will work closely with the management team and wider operations team while taking ownership of administrative and finance-related responsibilities. The successful applicant will be trusted to manage routine processes with accuracy, confidentiality, and minimal supervision.
This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who is dependable, organised, and comfortable working in a busy NDIS environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage NDIS claims through PRODA and PACE portals
Monitor claim statuses, resolve rejected claims, and manage follow-ups
Ensure all claims are accurate, compliant, and submitted within required timeframes
Liaise with NDIA regarding payment issues and claim adjustments
Manage accounts payable, including invoice entry and payment preparation
Manage accounts receivable, including raising invoices and following up outstanding payments
Maintain accurate financial records and complete data entry
Assist with fortnightly client invoicing and reporting
Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up overdue payments professionally
Support management with additional finance and accounts tasks as required
Support interpretation of the SCHADS Award, including allowances, penalties, sleepovers, weekends, public holidays, and overtime
Prepare and maintain accurate employee and payroll records
Ensure payroll information is accurate, confidential, and processed within required timeframes
Provide administrative support to the management and operations team
Assist with NDIS compliance, audit preparation, and general documentation as required
Complete general office coordination and ad-hoc tasks as needed
ABOUT YOU
Previous experience in an NDIS accounts role
You are organised, dependable, and take pride in completing work accurately and on time.
You enjoy being part of a collaborative team, while also being confident working independently and following established processes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
2+ years’ experience in accounts, payroll, administration, or office support
Strong hands-on experience using Xero
Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support
Previous payroll processing experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Good understanding of employment legislation and award interpretation
Experience with SCHADS Award highly regarded
Experience using ShiftCare or similar rostering/CRM systems desirable
Competency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Experience using Google Workspace, including Gmail and Google Drive
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A professional, mature, reliable, and accountable approach to work
Willingness to learn JCICARE systems, processes, and compliance requirements
Experience within the NDIS, disability, aged care, health, or community services sector will be highly regarded. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour
