The AWS Direct Connect organization is looking for a Network Development Manager to join Network Deployment and Capacity Engineering team. As part of this role, a successful candidate will be responsible for managing one of our global teams that owns building and scaling our network. Direct reports will include Network Development Engineers and Technical Program Managers who partner with our broader Infrastructure organization on configurations standards and tools, and collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, and also deploy and sustain networking software tools.
The AWS Direct Connect team delivers solutions that make it easy for customers to establish a dedicated network connection from their premises to the AWS cloud. These connections help to reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. AWS Direct Connect is currently available in more than 100 locations, which span nearly 70 cities in 30 different countries.
If you like to work with new technologies, optimizing existing technology, and have experience participating in network/systems support for a large-scale enterprise or service provider environment, we would like to meet you. Your work will play a key role in driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks.
