We are seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team at one of Australia's leading furniture and bedding retailers. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of inventory operations within our Distribution Centre, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient inventory processes, and strong operational performance.
Reporting to the National Inventory Manager, you will work closely with Operations, Transport, Retail, Finance, and the wider Supply Chain team to improve inventory integrity while leading and developing the local inventory team. This position offers significant opportunities to drive process improvements and make a meaningful impact on our operational excellence.
- Lead and mentor the Inventory team to deliver exceptional inventory accuracy and performance
- Coordinate and oversee cycle counts and stocktakes to maintain inventory integrity
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes to prevent recurrence
- Drive continuous process improvements across inventory and warehouse operations
- Monitor product damages and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce recurring issues
- Manage inventory movements, stock integrity, and location accuracy across the Distribution Centre
- Support Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
- Ensure all inventory activities are completed safely, accurately, and on time
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or supply chain operations
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Retail or Distribution Centre experience
