Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, dual-focused Warehouse Specialist & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. This role bridges hands-on warehouse execution with administrative logistics control. You will spend time on the warehouse floor managing incoming and outgoing stock, while also coordinating with freight providers, managing transport documentation, and maintaining data accuracy in our inventory system.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate domestic and state-wide freight shipments, liaising directly with transport providers and couriers to optimize delivery schedules.
- Prepare, audit, and manage critical shipping documents including manifests, consignment notes, and Customs documentation if applicable.
- Maintain data integrity within our Inventory Management System/ERP, tracking inventory movements and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer delivery inquiries and tracking updates.
2. Physical Warehouse Operations
- Safely execute inbound and outbound workflows: unloading trucks, receiving goods, cross-checking purchase orders, and shelving stock.
- Pick, pack, and prepare accurate orders for dispatch according to daily priorities.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (such as forklifts) to load line-haul trucks and optimize storage racking utilization.
- Lead and support regular cycle counts and full stocktaking events.
3. Safety & Workplace Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and high-functioning warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and WorkSafe Victoria health and safety guidelines.
- Identify and report any operational hazards, damaged goods, or equipment maintenance needs immediately.
Required Profile & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a warehousing, dispatch, or logistics administration environment.
- Licensing: Current WorkSafe Victoria LF (Forklift) license is highly desirable.
- Systems Skills: Solid computer literacy with experience using ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, MYOB Advanced) and confident proficiency in MS Excel.
- Communication: Strong spoken and written English communication skills for handling phone dispatch calls and carrier emails.
- Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably handle the physical aspects of a hands-on warehouse role, including manual handling up to 20kg safely.
Pay: $47.00 – $56.00 per hour
