Beyond The Blacktop Adventure Tours is looking for enthusiastic and personable Adventure Tour Guides to join our growing team. Beyond The Blacktop Adventure Tours delivers authentic, small-group adventures throughout the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains. From our iconic Army Truck Adventures and guided hikes to private tours, winery transfers and hidden gems, we take our guests beyond the usual tourist trail to experience the very best of the region.
We’re passionate about exceptional customer service, creating lasting memories, and sharing our knowledge of the area’s history, landscapes and unique attractions.
About the Role
As an Adventure Tour Guide, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, engaging and memorable experiences for our guests. Every day is different, with opportunities to lead a variety of tours including:
- Army Truck Adventures
- Full Day Blue Mountains Tours
- Guided Hiking Experiences
- Megalong Valley Winery Transfers
- Jenolan Caves Transfers (when operating)
- Private Tours and Charters
You’ll welcome guests, provide informative and entertaining commentary, ensure their comfort and safety, and help create an experience they’ll never forget.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for the Blue Mountains and the outdoors.
- Enjoys meeting and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Is confident speaking to small groups.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
- Is reliable, professional and well presented.
- Can work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
- Is flexible and available to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
Essential Requirements
- Live in the Upper Blue Mountains.
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
- LR, MR or higher licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability to work weekends, school holidays and public holidays. *MUST - this is peak season*
Desirable (but not essential)
- Passenger Transport Driver Authority.
- Previous experience in tourism, guiding, hospitality or customer service.
- Knowledge of the Blue Mountains region.
