Your new role:
Join the Food Services team at QEII Hospital and contribute to delivering efficient, safe and customer-focused food services that support patients, staff and visitors across the hospital.
Provide friendly and efficient customer service across the staff dining room, cafeteria and hospital wards, including coffee making/barista duties and processing customer payments accurately.
Prepare meal ingredients and serve correct portions on the plating line in accordance with dietary requirements, procedures and established food service standards.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment while following workplace health and safety, food service, quality and patient safety requirements.
About you:
We are looking for a reliable, flexible and customer-focused team member who takes pride in delivering high-quality food services and working respectfully with patients, staff and colleagues.
Demonstrates, or has the ability to develop, knowledge of therapeutic and dietary guidelines relevant to a hospital food services environment, as well as the ability to learn CBORD and other computer systems including Excel, Word and PFM.
Demonstrates sound judgement, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately.
Works cooperatively within a team, adapts positively to changing priorities and maintains a professional approach in a busy environment.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
