Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation (respite), social connections, lifestyle options, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.
About Your Role
Reporting to the Grants & Service Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for producing accessible and inclusive documents and provide subject matter expertise to Scope’s Communication and Inclusion Resource Centre (CIRC) across the organisation.
Your Key Focus
- Unpack complex subject matter and user experience problems to deliver accessible and inclusive documents
- Perform automated and manual testing on finished documents
- Work with customers to help them improve their accessibility maturity and remove accessibility barriers by advocating for access and inclusion
- Support increased digital access and inclusion maturity within the wider Access Services team
- Execute our in-house Adobe InDesign to Adobe Acrobat workflow for content publishing
What We Look For
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in user experience, or closely related field of design
- BA Degree in user experience or digital design
- Demonstrated experience in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite and ability to publish accessible artefacts
- Ability to apply design standards including WCAG and PDF/ UA
- Deep understanding of inclusive design and experience applying laws of UX
- Awareness of plain language and Easy Read
