The Role
Safe Fire Electrical is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager - Wet Fire Protection Systems to lead our growing Wet Fire division. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the delivery, compliance, operational performance, and continued growth of our wet fire protection services across commercial, industrial, and residential customers throughout South Australia.
You will lead a team of technicians and apprentices, manage projects and operational resources, maintain key client relationships, and drive business performance while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance are achieved.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading the day-to-day operations of the Wet Fire Protection Systems division
Managing installation, testing, servicing, and maintenance activities across a diverse client portfolio
Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards, including AS2118, AS2419, AS2441, and applicable legislation
Overseeing project scheduling, workforce planning, resource allocation, and budgets
Leading, mentoring, and developing technicians, apprentices, and operational staff
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, builders, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
Managing tender submissions, quotations, contracts, and commercial outcomes
Driving quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements across all operations
Monitoring operational performance, financial outcomes, and growth opportunities, while reporting to senior leadership
Your Skills, Experience & Attributes
Minimum 5 years' experience within the fire protection industry, with strong expertise in wet fire systems
Previous experience in an operational management or leadership role
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, contracts, teams, and stakeholders simultaneously
Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong operational planning and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and service excellence
Relevant trade qualification in Plumbing, Fire Protection, Mechanical Services, or a related discipline
Current Driver's Licence and White Card
Industry-specific fire protection licences and management qualifications are highly regarded
