About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team. This role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicles to ensure fleet safety, reliability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Service and maintain trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
Perform engine, brake, transmission, steering, and suspension repairs
Complete job cards, service records, and maintenance documentation
Conduct inspections and post-repair testing
Ensure compliance with safety and transport regulations
Support workshop operations and team activities
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Experience with diesel engines and heavy vehicles
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Commitment to workplace safety
Desirable:
HR or HC Driver’s Licence
Experience in fleet or transport maintenance
Welding or fabrication skills
Diagnostic system experience
