Zee Cheng Khor Moral Uplifting Society is a registered Australian charity and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting character development, Chinese culture, community service, and lifelong learning.
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable teachers to join our Young Virtuous Person School Holiday Program (小君子学习营), a unique educational program designed for children aged 6 to 12 years. The program combines Chinese language, culture, arts, moral values, leadership, games, and hands-on learning in a fun and engaging environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging educational activities and helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for primary school-aged children.
This role requires availability during Victorian school holidays, particularly:
- 6 to 10 July 2026
- Future school holiday programs throughout the year
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons and activities to children aged 6 to 12 years
- Lead games, group activities, and hands-on learning experiences
- Encourage positive behaviour and support student engagement
- Assist with classroom management and student supervision
- Create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, volunteers, and program coordinators
- Model positive character and behaviour at all times
About You
You are:
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English
- Passionate about working with children
- Confident managing groups of primary school-aged students
- Energetic, patient, and organised
- Available during Victorian school holiday periods
Essential Requirements
- Experience teaching or facilitating programs for children aged 6 to 12 years
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and recent National Police Check
- Current Level 2 First Aid qualification
- Strong child behaviour management skills
- Experience leading games, group activities, and interactive learning sessions
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Regarded
- Teaching qualification or education background
- Experience in Chinese language, Chinese culture, music, dance, martial arts, calligraphy, arts and crafts, public speaking, or youth leadership programs
- Experience working in community or not-for-profit organisations
