Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking new teams as a Truck Operator, to join the Production Department at George Fisher Mine. This position is residentially based in Mt Isa. The roster for this role is on a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.

The Role
We are looking for individuals to join us in the role of a Truck Operator within the Production Department. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be required to move blasted material as per the mine plan safely and efficiently minimizing airborne dust in the decline and primary tramways. Operate water trucks within design parameters and as per the standard operating procedures. Deliver the required level of service in order to achieve business targets. When truck is not being utilised the truck operator is to assist in other operational roles as required. To contribute positively to the team environment, operate safely and assist with delivering on budget and targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Delivery of load, haul and dump of broken rock to a designated location
Perform pre-start checks, hazard identification, PRAs.
Washing down equipment as required and conducting handover with cross shift.
Communicate accurate and timely information to Mine Control, Supervisor, Leading Hand, and Cross Shift as appropriate (e.g. stockpile, ore pass, and stope or chute status)
The successful candidate will possess:
Current Australian Drivers Licence
Hard working, reliable and able to work unsupervised
Strong focus on completing the job safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills
Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
