About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our growing team. Our business specialises in residential and commercial painting projects across Kangaroo Island and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding and filling imperfections.
- Apply primers, sealers, paints, stains and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Repair minor surface defects and carry out patching where required.
- Mix and match paint colours to customer specifications.
- Protect surrounding surfaces with masking and drop sheets.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and scaffolding when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean work environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard and within project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients and other trades on site.
- Follow all Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent trade qualification), or significant industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years of painting experience.
- White Card.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual work.
Desirable
- Experience with wallpaper installation/removal and decorative finishes.
- Working at Heights or EWP ticket (preferred but not essential).

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
