A vacancy exists for a part-time Games Teacher at Silver Tree Steiner School starting Term 3, 2026. This position offers 0.39 FTE over 4 days a week (based on 1 FTE 28.2hrs), with the possibility for additional hours as a relief teacher if you’re eager to expand your role. Silver Tree Steiner School is nestled amongst over 10 hectares of beautiful bushland in the Perth Hills providing a Steiner education from Early Childhood to Year 6 for over 200 students. About the role:
This role is ideal for an energetic and engaging teacher, passionate about inspiring young minds through the joy of games and creative play. You will be responsible for planning and implementing the Games Program curriculum to students from Class 1 to Class 6, in line with the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework and working from an understanding of child development and Steiner philosophy.
Job criteria:
Your ideal skills, knowledge and experience will include:
- Experience teaching primary school aged children
- Experience, practical understanding and deep interest in Steiner pedagogy and philosophy
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work supportively and collaboratively as part of an enthusiastic and committed school faculty
- Preparedness to be fully involved in the school’s activities, including festivals, meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Current First Aid in an Education and Care Setting qualification
Successful applicant pre-requisites:
- Current WA Teacher Registration
- Current Working with Children Check
- Eligible to work in Australia
