Your new role:
As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Worker, you will deliver culturally responsive primary health care, health promotion, education and clinical services to individuals, families and communities. Working collaboratively with health professionals, community organisations and key stakeholders, you will advocate for clients, strengthen community connections, support prevention and early intervention initiatives, and contribute to improved health and wellbeing outcomes across the lifespan.
This rewarding role combines advanced clinical practice, community engagement, health education and cultural leadership to support holistic, person-centred care.
About you:
You are a passionate and culturally capable Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Worker who is committed to improving health outcomes and empowering individuals, families and communities through culturally safe, holistic care. You will have:
Demonstrated experience delivering primary health care, health promotion and education programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Strong understanding of the social determinants of health and the ability to apply culturally responsive approaches to care.
Advanced communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with communities, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Proven clinical skills and experience in client assessment, health interventions, advocacy and maintaining accurate clinical records.
Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and contribute positively to team outcomes.
