Key Duties & Responsibilities: Carry out safe, compliant installation, replacement, and testing of:
- Make Safe/minor works identified from assessments
- Electrical upgrades to Consumers Mains, Switchboards and Meter Panels
- Dedicated circuits for new appliances including heat pump hot water systems, induction cooktops and reverse-cycle air conditioning.
- Conduct on site assessments and Electrical Safety Checks
- Perform pre-start inspections, risk assessments, and verify customer authorisation before commencing works.
- Complete job documentation including assessment forms, Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES), compliance checklists, and photographic evidence.
- Work collaboratively with residents, internal organisations, apprentices, subcontractors, and scheduling teams to meet project targets and KPIs.
- Uphold site safety and environmental protocols at all times, reporting any incidents or hazards immediately.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Current A Grade Electrical Licence (VIC) with demonstrated experience in electrical installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Working with children card (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM/PM systems.
- Proven ability to work safely in accordance with Victorian electrical safety regulations and occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with tenants, including culturally diverse and vulnerable households.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to community service.
