About you
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate with approximately 2-4 years' post-admission experience to join our growing Corporate Advisory team in Melbourne.
You will have a strong foundation in corporate, commercial, financial services regulatory or funds management law and be looking to further develop your technical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Approximately 2-4 years' post-admission experience gained within a reputable law firm
- Exposure to financial services regulation, funds management, AML/CTF, corporate or commercial law matters
- An interest in developing expertise in financial services regulation and investment structures
- Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from experienced practitioners
- Strong attention to detail and effective time-management skills

Your role
As part of our Corporate Advisory team, focused on Financial Services Regulation and Funds Management, you will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of matters for financial institutions, fund managers, responsible entities, investment businesses, fintechs and payment service providers.
You will gain exposure to:
- Financial services regulatory advice
- Funds establishment, structuring and governance
- Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and Australian Credit Licence (ACL) matters
- Product disclosure statements and other offer documentation
- Investment management and commercial agreements
- Corporate transactions involving financial services businesses
- AML/CTF regulatory advice and compliance assistance, including AML/CTF program development, independent evaluations, relief applications and training
- Payment system regulation and compliance, including payment facilitation, stored value facilities and other payment products
- Digital assets regulation, tokenisation and blockchain advice and product offerings
This role offers direct client exposure, high-quality technical work and the opportunity to build your expertise across a diverse range of financial services and funds management matters.
