Motor Mechanic
Bars N Racks Australasia Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our growing workshop team in Brookvale, Sydney.
This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week) offering a salary of $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Bars N Racks is one of Sydney's leading automotive accessory and vehicle service specialists. We service and repair passenger vehicles and 4WDs while also supplying and installing premium aftermarket accessories including roof racks, tow bars, bull bars, suspension systems and more.
About the Role
Working in our busy workshop, you will perform vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs while assisting with the installation of aftermarket automotive accessories.
Your Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Carry out inspections, oil services and general mechanical repairs.
- Repair engines, steering, suspension, braking and transmission systems.
- Replace defective mechanical components.
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Conduct road tests after repairs.
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Install roof racks, tow bars, bull bars, suspension systems and other aftermarket accessories.
- Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop.
About You
You will possess:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (or equivalent).
- Experience working as a Motor Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret service information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Current Australian Driver Licence preferred.
