Master Lanzhou Noodle Bar in Knox, delivering authentic Lanzhou-style noodles and Chinese cuisine in a fast-paced and customer-focused dining environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and support the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant to ensure efficient service and smooth workflow.
- Monitor stock ordering, inventory levels, and supplier coordination to maintain adequate stock and minimise wastage.
- Assist in planning sales strategies and local promotional activities to increase customer engagement and business performance.
- Review sales results and operating costs regularly to support profitability and business growth.
- Maintain operational and financial records, including stock movement and daily transactions.
- Supervise customer service standards and respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Recruit, train, and support staff members while monitoring workplace performance and productivity.
- Prepare staff rosters and coordinate staffing requirements based on operational needs.
- Ensure the restaurant operates in accordance with workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, budgeting, purchasing, and customer service operations.
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety and food safety compliance requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Mandarin-speaking ability will be highly regarded due to the nature of the business and customer base.
