Assistant Store Manager
Powerhouse Parramatta
Clerk Grade 5/6 | Full-time | Wednesday–Sunday
Powerhouse is looking for an experienced retail leader to help shape the future of the brand new, design-led Powerhouse Store. This is more than a traditional Assistant Store Manager role; you'll be instrumental in building and refining our retail operations from the ground up.
Powerhouse Store carries a retail offer spanning design objects, homewares, books, accessories, prints and pantry items. Central to this offer is Powerhouse Made, special-edition products in collaboration with artists, designers and makers – each responding to the Powerhouse collection, exhibitions and programs.
Leading the day-to-day operations of three physical retail stores at Powerhouse Parramatta, you'll be the face of our retail experience, managing the shop floor, supervising and coordinating a rotating team of casual staff, and ensuring every visitor receives an exceptional customer experience.
You'll oversee daily sales performance, visual merchandising, brand presentation, POS operations, rostering, staff training and operational reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail. You'll also support the delivery of retail activations, pop-up stores and major festivals and public programs across Powerhouse sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and building new ways of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. If you're energised by creating great customer experiences, leading teams and making an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
