Warehouse Storeman & Fulfilment Lead
Four days a week, every Wednesday off | Melbourne north or west | $90,000 FTE inclusive of super (pro-rata $72,000)
Sleepybelly is an Australian maternity sleep brand shipping around 25,000 customer orders a year across Australia, New Zealand and internationally, plus wholesale into major retailers. We're bringing fulfilment in-house and you'd own it end to end.
This is a sole-charge role with real authority. You run the warehouse, you deal with carriers directly, you decide how the week works. The founders are there when you need us and out of your way when you don't.
The role
- Own daily fulfilment: pick, pack and dispatch 70 to 80 orders a day (most are bulk pick, so at least 70% can be done at once)
- Coordinate the daily carrier pickup, book freight, chase deliveries
- Prepare wholesale and B2B orders: pallet builds, carton marking, paperwork
- Manage returns and quarantine end to end
- Unload containers (roughly monthly) and bring in casuals when you need them
- Keep stock accurate and the warehouse in a state you're proud of
You
- Forklift licence (LF) and experience using it
- Strong e-commerce or 3PL fulfilment background across pick and pack, freight, inbound, returns and stock control
- Excellent communicator who moves fast when things change, and tells us before we ask
- Confident directing casual staff
- Comfortable in Shopify and a shipping platform (we'll train you on ours)
- Genuinely self-directed. Wrong role if you want daily direction, right role if you've been waiting for someone to get out of your way
The offer
- $90,000 FTE inclusive of super, pro-rata at 0.8
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with every Wednesday off. Flexible start and finish times, and you set the carrier pickup to suit
- Site being secured now
- No management layer. You'll deal directly with the owners who will take on board your suggestions for how the warehouse will actually run
