Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Director – Strategic Business Development to lead new business acquisition, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth.
The role requires a strong business professional who can identify new market opportunities, build relationships with senior decision-makers, understand customer business challenges, position appropriate technology solutions, and convert opportunities into long-term business engagements.
The ideal candidate should be confident in engaging with CXOs, business owners, senior management, government organisations, and enterprise customers. The person will be responsible for managing the complete sales lifecycle—from prospect identification and initial engagement to solution positioning, commercial negotiations, closure, and account growth.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries and markets.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, market research, references, industry events, strategic outreach, and direct customer engagement.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Identify potential enterprise customers and establish relationships with key decision-makers.
- Develop strategies to enter new industries, markets, and geographical regions.
- Take ownership of achieving business development and revenue targets.
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and execute business development and sales strategies.
- Identify high-potential industries, customers, regions, and market segments.
- Analyse competitors, market trends, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide management with regular market intelligence and business insights.
- Contribute to pricing strategies, go-to-market plans, and new product positioning.
- Develop strategic partnerships and channel relationships where appropriate.
