The Role
A rare opportunity has come up for a talented individual to provide essential support within the office, as well as assisting the warehouse and service teams to monitor projects as well as assist in logistics functions on a day-to-day basis. This role would not require much heavy manual lifting, but a forklift license would be highly desired!
If the right candidate has the right skills and attitude, they will have the opportunity to move within one of these departments and gain invaluable experience by assisting other team members in these roles. This role would be ideal for a junior candidate with warehousing experience looking to transition into working in the office, be it within sales, marketing, e-commerce and others. The sky is the limit for candidates with a can-do attitude!
The preference for this role is full-time, but we will consider part-time hours.
Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be able to:
1. Perform daily administration responsibilities including office management duties such as answering the phone, manning reception
2. Assist in the warehouse for picking and packing, update systems and prepare files/reports for other team members, learn about our products and provide support when needed
3. Help perform ad hoc tasks for their department
4. Help organise company functions and other events
5. Perform other duties assigned by managers from time to time
Key Competencies
The following competencies will be assessed:
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
2. The ability to undertake multiple tasks with a minimum level of direct supervision
3. Current forklift license
4. Familiarity with Excel and other such management software is not compulsory, but will be considered favourably
5. Ability to take on new challenges with a can-do attitude
