Responsibilities:
- Plan menus, estimate food and labor costs, and order food supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Prepare more than 20 different sauces for various dishes, showcasing your expertise in Hong Kong cuisine.
- Manage all kitchen staff, including training and leading them effectively to maintain a productive and harmonious team environment.
- Discuss food preparation issues with managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures to enhance the skills of the kitchen team.
- Prepare and cook fine cuisine, ensuring exquisite taste and presentation that reflects the authentic flavors of Hong Kong.
- Explain and enforce hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, upholding the highest standards of food safety.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably specializing in Hong Kong cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and the ability to prepare a wide range of sauces for authentic dishes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire kitchen staff.
- Attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and overall dining experience.
- Ability to plan menus, estimate costs, and order food supplies to optimize kitchen operations.
- Understanding of hygiene regulations and the ability to enforce them to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced culinary setting.
- Speak fluent Cantonese and read Chinese.
- In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong cuisine and dining trends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
