About the Role
As the Software Development Team Lead, you'll lead a skilled team delivering secure, scalable digital solutions that support the City of Perth's services and strategic priorities. Combining technical expertise with people leadership, you'll guide software development from concept through to deployment while fostering innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you'll provide technical direction, mentor developers, oversee project delivery and work closely with business stakeholders to develop modern applications and digital services that improve the way the City operates.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing software development team, supporting capability, collaboration and continuous improvement;
- Design, develop and oversee secure, scalable applications using Microsoft technologies including Azure, Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform;
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, from solution design through to testing, deployment, support and ongoing optimisation; and
- Drive digital transformation by improving development practices, system architecture, application performance and stakeholder outcomes.
- Extensive experience leading software development teams and delivering enterprise applications;
- Strong expertise across Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, SQL Server and modern development practices;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative leadership style; and
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems (or similar) or equivalent industry experience.
