FinXL IT is partnering with a wealth management & advisory client to deploy a meticulous Data QA Tester to support QA processes for data accuracy across the cloud infrastructure. Your mission is simple but crucial: execute a comprehensive "Verify, Process, Verify" testing framework to ensure zero data degradation from ingestion to final output.
Cloud Data Validation: Execute rigorous test cases across a modern cloud infrastructure at three critical stages: from pre-ingestion, during system-level cloud processing, and post-processing.
Data Lifecycle Verification: Formulate, write, and execute advanced SQL queries to perform source-to-target data reconciliation, verifying that complex ETL mapping and transformation logic function flawlessly.
Defect Triage & Management: Proactively identify, document, and raise data anomalies, mapping mismatches, or cloud integration failures. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure rapid bug resolution.
Test Documentation: Author and maintain highly disciplined test logs, defect reports, execution matrices, and validation documentation for the broader project delivery team.
Proven commercial experience operating as a Data Tester or ETL Tester with a strict operational focus on complex data integrations.
Strong background validating data pipelines, storage, and integrations within major cloud environments. Datastage and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly ideal, but candidates with robust data validation experience in AWS or Azure are strongly encouraged to apply.
Strong, hands-on SQL scripting skills to profile large datasets, manipulate queries, and validate information flowing through complex cloud architectures.
Prior exposure to or familiarity with Workato and IBM InfoSphere DataStage from a testing, validation, or pipeline monitoring perspective is highly favourable.
Experience using Jira and Confluence to log defects, update testing tasks, and track execution cycles.
