About the Role
Join our Surgical Programs team and help keep the ward running smoothly. You’ll manage reception, coordinate ward administration, support patient and bed management, and build positive relationships with patients, families and our multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, families and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Manage ward reception and daily administrative tasks
- Support patient flow and bed management processes
- Maintain accurate patient records and ward documentation
- Coordinate communication across multidisciplinary teams
- Liaise with hospital departments to ensure seamless care
- Respond to enquiries from patients, families and the public
- Keep ward information organised, current and confidential
- Provide timely clerical support to the clinical team
- Help create an efficient, welcoming and well-run ward environment
About You
You're an organised and approachable administrator who enjoys supporting people and keeping things running smoothly. You communicate with confidence, thrive in a busy environment and take pride in delivering accurate, high quality work while providing excellent customer service.
- Experience in administration or a patient focused setting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Manage competing priorities with accuracy and discretion
- Work well independently and as part of a team
