Our client is a leading structural steel fabrication company supplying high-quality steel solutions to commercial, industrial, and construction projects across Sydney.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter/Protective Coatings Applicator to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position responsible for the preparation and application of specialist protective coating systems to structural steel components, including steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare steel surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and coating preparation techniques

Apply specialist primers, epoxy coatings, and protective paint systems to structural steel products

Ensure coatings are applied to required specifications and finish standards

Monitor coating thickness and quality requirements

Maintain painting equipment and ensure a safe, clean work environment

Work collaboratively with the fabrication and production teams to meet project deadlines

Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience in industrial painting, protective coatings, or spray painting of structural steel

Experience applying epoxy coatings, primers, and specialist paint systems

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

White Card (desirable)
