About the Opportunity
The Mental Health Network, Suicide Prevention and Response (SP&R) Project, Senior Project Officer will work on several specific tasks as outlined in the SP&R Project Work Plan (2026-2. The role will work collaboratively with the Mental Health Branch, NSW Health, Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks (LHD's/SHN's), Primary Health Networks and external stakeholders, consumers and carers and other key stakeholders to facilitate their contribution to the project.

Selection Criteria

Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in mental health, with specific expertise in suicide prevention and response systems, policy, or service delivery across NSW or similar jurisdictions and ability to provide subject matter expertise to the project.

Demonstrated experience leading complex health projects or programs, including planning, implementation, and evaluation, ideally with statewide or multi-agency application.

Proven ability to work across complex systems and influence senior stakeholders, including government, clinical, and community sectors, to achieve alignment and outcomes.

Demonstrated experience translating strategy or policy into practice, including driving adoption, managing competing priorities, and embedding change in complex environments.
