Personal Care Worker / Disability Support Worker
Weekend & Evening Availability Essential (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
Stellar Support Pathways is looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Personal Care Workers to join our growing team.
We are currently recruiting support workers who are available to work weekends and evening shifts between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. These shifts are essential to our participants, so applicants must be able to commit to regular weekend and evening work. Additional shifts may become available during the week for the right candidate.
As a Personal Care Worker, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and the community, helping them live safely, independently and with dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence support.
- Assisting with medication administration (where appropriately trained).
- Manual handling and transfers using appropriate equipment.
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and general household duties.
- Community access, including appointments, shopping and social outings.
- Encouraging independence and supporting participants to achieve their individual goals.
- Completing accurate progress notes and required documentation.
- Following individual support plans, behaviour support plans and organisational policies.
- Delivering compassionate, respectful and professional support at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends and evening shifts between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services (or equivalent), or currently studying.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A caring, professional and reliable attitude.
Desirable
- Previous experience providing personal care.
- Experience supporting people living with disability.
- Medication Administration competency.
- Experience with manual handling and mobility equipment.
- Knowledge of person-centred practice and the NDIS.
