Sugar Australia is looking for a Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst to join our team at our Yarraville VIC head office. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and is keen to optimise supply chain performance.
About the role
This permanent full-time opportunity suits someone with experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory, and supply chain analysis.
Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in analysing freight, warehousing, and inventory transaction data against key performance metrics to support operational excellence and business growth.
You will play a key role in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and 3PL partners to drive improvements in cost control, and customer outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse freight, warehousing, and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Preparing accurate financial and operational reports, including logistics cost and budget analysis
- Support the development and monitoring and reporting of logistics and warehousing budgets
- Produce monthly performance and cost reports using Excel and SAP, presenting to business leads.
- Manage inventory data reporting, stock variance reconciliation to maintain system accuracy
- Communicating with with Key vendors around stocktakes, cycle counts to drive Inventory compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, tenders, and supply chain projects end-to-end.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to present insights and improve outcomes.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a practical, analytical professional who is confident working with data and stakeholders:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management/Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics or another relevant discipline highly desirable
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory, or supply chain in an analyst role.
- Experience in financial and budgetary analysis within a logistics or supply chain environment
- Proficiency in SAP, with experience handling large data sets (highly desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence analysing complex data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in presenting data, insights, and group analysis to stakeholders
- Inventory knowledge and experience essential (including stock control and reconciliation)
- Understanding of 3PL warehousing, and transport operations (highly desirable)
- FMCG background and experience highly preferred
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
