Commercial Carpenter - Highgreen Projects
Highgreen Projects is seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter to join our growing team in Brisbane.
We are a multi-sector open licensed commercial builder delivering high quality outcomes across medical, fuel, education, retail and government environments. Our team currently delivers quality projects across QLD, NSW, ACT, and VIC.
This role is suited to a reliable carpenter who takes pride in their work, can work independently, assist with site coordination, and has the drive to step into site management and trade direction responsibilities as the company continues to grow.
About the Role
You will be involved in a variety of commercial construction and fitout works, including:
- Commercial carpentry and general building works
- Framing, sheeting, doors, hardware and fix-out
- Defits, make-goods, refurbishments and alterations
- Minor structural and remedial works
- Fitout works in live operating environments
- Reading and interpreting plans, details and specifications
- Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
- Assisting with daily site planning and sequencing of works
- Directing and coordinating trades on site where required
- Monitoring quality, safety and progress of works
- Helping maintain project timelines and site productivity
- Maintaining clean, safe and professional work areas
- Supporting project delivery to program and quality requirements
- Opportunity to grow into Site Supervisor / Site Manager duties for the right person
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Trade qualification in carpentry
- Commercial construction or fitout experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read drawings and follow site instructions
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Confidence liaising with trades, suppliers and clients
- Ability to lead by example on site
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Own tools
- White Card
- Ability to work in live environments professionally
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a growing company
