Sicily By Fratello is a well-established Italian restaurant known for its authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and high-quality service. We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team and contribute to our tradition of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of Italian dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Develop and update menus with seasonal ingredients and authentic Italian recipes.
- Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage stock levels, monitor inventory, and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and quality control regulations are followed in line with Australian food safety laws.
- Collaborate with management on menu pricing and cost control strategies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience as a Chef for at least a year, preferably in Italian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Understanding of food safety and HACCP regulations.
- Creativity in developing innovative and appealing menu items.
