Living-iQ is seeking a mature, compassionate, and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to join our growing team and provide one-on-one support to participants across the Perth metropolitan area.
This role involves supporting participants with community access, swimming activities, appointments, and daily living while promoting independence, choice, and meaningful participation in the community.

About the Role
This position will primarily support participants on:
- Monday – Community support alongside another experienced support worker.
- Tuesday – Community support for another participant.
- Friday – Community support alongside another experienced support worker.
The successful applicant will provide individualized support through community outings, swimming sessions, appointments, and daily activities while ensuring participants feel safe, respected, and encouraged to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred supports aligned with participant goals and preferences.
- Assist with community access, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
- Support participants during swimming and hydrotherapy sessions (basic swimming ability required).
- Encourage independence while respecting each participant's communication style and support needs.
- Monitor participant wellbeing and respond calmly to changing situations.
- Follow individual support plans, risk assessments, and organisational policies.
- Complete accurate shift notes and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and the Living-iQ team.
About You

- Willing to learn participant-specific routines and support strategies.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent (or currently studying).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Basic swimming ability and confidence supporting participants during swimming activities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Desirable
- Experience supporting people with Autism, Intellectual Disability, Epilepsy, or complex support needs.
- Experience providing community access and recreational supports.
- Medication Administration and Manual Handling training (or willingness to obtain).
