THE ROLE
The Manager, Strategic Policy leads a dynamic team to drive policy and reform to improve outcomes for First Peoples across the Department's Ministerial portfolios. This role has a diverse set of responsibilities, including policy development, strategic whole-of-department coordination and advice, and stakeholder management. Working closely with the Manager, Priority Projects, you will also lead policy considerations for department-wide priority reform projects that contribute to efforts to close the gap and improve outcomes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead the delivery of high-quality policy advice on complex and strategic policy matters, demonstrating awareness of, and ensuring alignment with, whole-of-government First Peoples policy commitments.
- Lead and support the Strategic Policy team to deliver high quality outcomes within set objectives, timelines and budget, while providing visible and values-based leadership that drives a collaborative, respectful and performance-based culture.
- Lead the strategic coordination of the Department's contributions to implementing the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, Victorian Aboriginal Affairs Framework, and cross-portfolio reforms or strategies.
