About the Role
As Territory Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, increasing market share and maximising in-store opportunities across an assigned territory. You'll build strong partnerships with key store decision-makers and lead a team of third-party merchandisers to ensure exceptional execution of promotions, displays and category initiatives.
This is a highly autonomous role that combines relationship management, coaching, commercial analysis and hands-on execution to deliver outstanding results for both Sanitarium and our retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow sales, market share and distribution across your territory.
- Partner with key decision-makers in Coles, Woolworths and independent stores.
- Execute promotional programs and in-store activations.
- Identify and convert incremental sales opportunities using data and insights.
- Ensure planograms and merchandising standards are executed to a high level.
- Manage the execution of displays and promotional activity.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting of sales activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stores within your territory.
Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of third-party merchandisers.
- Allocate resources and optimise merchandiser schedules to deliver results.
- Provide ongoing training, support and performance feedback.
- Manage merchandiser budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
About You
You are a relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on influencing outcomes and building long-term partnerships. You enjoy working independently, using data to drive decisions and achieving ambitious growth targets.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG sales, preferably working with Coles and Woolworths.
- Proven success in territory management, account management or business development.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse data to identify opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A growth mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience leading, coaching or managing teams would be highly regarded.
